Country star Kelsea Ballerini is changing the lyrics on two of her songs to reflect her messy divorce from husband Morgan Evans

Country star Kelsea Ballerini has changed some of the lyrics in her songs to reflect her messy divorce with Morgan Evans as she heads out on her Heartfirst tour.

The 29-year-old country-pop singer changed the lines on the songs “What I Have” and “Get Over Yourself” to reflect her new single life, according to Just Jared.

In the first song, the line “I got a warm body in bed” was changed to “I got my own body in bed”.

A line in the latter song was changed from “I’m the crazy ex that ruined your life” to “I’m the crazy b**** that ruined your life”.

She revealed the changes in her songs during a performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City over the weekend.

The stop is the first stop she made on her Heartfirst tour.

The Heartfirst Tour is a short 10-stop tour that takes the Roses star criss-crossing the United States.

She will play shows in Denver; Washington, D.C.; and Los Angeles before concluding on October 14 in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

On August 26, Kelsea filed for divorce from fellow countryman Morgan Evans after more than four years of marriage.

“Friends, I have always tried my best to share my life with you in a genuine and vulnerable way, while at the same time protecting parts of my personal life as they unfold,” Ballerini wrote on Aug. 29.

“This is now public knowledge so I wanted you to hear directly from me that I’m getting a divorce. This deeply difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth and effort that has finally come to an end.

Ballerini wrote on Aug. 29, Speaking of which, the 37-year-old from Australia followed up with his own statement:

“It’s hard to find the words here … but I’m very grateful for the years of marriage with Morgan and I look forward to the next few seasons. With very active schedules coming up, please remember that we are both fragile, actively healing and showing our best as we can.

The 37-year-old from Australia followed up with his own statement: “I am extremely sad to confirm that Kelsea and I are separating after almost five years of marriage. I wish it were different, but unfortunately it isn’t.”

The estranged couple – who were last pictured on June 12 – originally met in 2016 while co-hosting the CMC Awards in Australia.

Kelsea’s fourth studio album Subject to Change was released and includes You’re Drunk, Go Home, a collaboration with Kelly Clarkson and Carly Pearce.
