Cowboys fans melt away in viral videos after NFL playoff loss to 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys failed to make the NFC championship game for the 27th straight season, losing 19-12 to the 49ers Sunday night. Since the loss, social media has been flooded with videos of Cowboys fans behaving exactly as one would expect.

TikTok user Christy Edwards posted a video on her page of a man, maybe her husband or boyfriend, after losing Dallas. In the video, the man – who is wearing a CeeDee Lamb Cowboys jersey – holds his TV in his hands and walks into his driveway, where he violently throws it to the ground.

“What are you doing?” the woman asks, to which the man replies, “I’m sick of this shit! Every damn year!”

And he wasn’t done after he threw away the TV. He gets in his truck, drives out onto the street, then backs up and drives right over the TV.

He wasn’t the only Cowboys fan to react strongly to the loss. In another video that circulated around the internet, posted by Twitter user Robert Flores, a fan in a Dak Prescott jersey bangs his closed fist on his TV at the end of the game. He then picks up the TV and tries to break it over his knee.

“@dallascowboys you owe me a new TV,” Flores wrote on Twitter.

Elsewhere, the Cowboys threw a watch party at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, although the game was in Santa Clara. After the defeat, several fans got into a wild brawl in front of the stadium.

The Cowboys may not be a reliable team anymore, but their fans are sure to be dependable to provide some theatrics – and violence – when they lose.
