“I would tell you that the Cowboys have given so much over the years that people will understand why. I’ve seen the Cowboys’ performances many times and they’ve always been very good. It was always good when Karl sang like crazy and participated in the show with people. And if they announce today that there is no show, it’s because they really can’t do the show,” he explains in an interview on the 8:30 p.m. Bulletin.
Singer Karl Tremblay, who is currently battling prostate cancer, himself announced in a video posted to his Instagram account that the group had to postpone their concerts.
Mr. Tremblay points out in his video that “cowboy shows are demanding.”
“For our part, when we go to a show, we prepare during the day, go to the restaurant beforehand and afterward we watch the show, we have fun. But the rest came in the afternoon, they did the sound check, they hurried, they did interviews. Afterwards they have some time for dinner and then they go on stage. And when they get off stage, they can’t go straight to bed. So you stay awake for a few more hours and then get back in the vehicle tomorrow morning,” explains Mr. Gauthier.
In a sense, “they are athletes,” the music columnist argues.
