The Director of Criminal Justice and Prosecutions (DPCP) drops the charges previously brought against businessman Vincent Guzzo. He states that he is satisfied with the conclusion of the legal proceedings initiated against him.

In June, Mr. Guzzo was charged with criminal harassment of a woman and failure to comply with a condition.

The alleged acts are said to have taken place between November 2022 and June of this year.

Vincent Guzzo was summoned to court this fall.

In an emailed statement, the DPCP said it had been informed of new elements related to this case, which led to the decision to discontinue prosecution. […] was placed in Mr. Guzzo’s files because we no longer had the belief of a reasonable prospect of conviction necessary to maintain the prosecution.

The DPCP also stated that it had communicated its decision to the alleged victim and commended her resilience and courage.
