Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly received a $ 11.4 million blow to a luxury apartment he owned at Trump Tower.
The Manchester United star has built an extensive real estate portfolio during his glamorous career.
But Ronaldo, who bought the nine-bed apartment in New York for a whopping $ 18.5 million in 2015, was forced to sell it for just $ 7.1 million last November, according to Spanish economic publication Expansion.
The 37-year-old superstar was forced to sell it at a reduced price due to lack of interest in Trump Tower.
As former US President Donald Trump was in disgrace after facing a backlash during his rule and the impact of the pandemic, Ronaldo had difficulty selling the apartment overlooking Central Park.
In 2017, an online petition was launched calling for the footballer to move out of the property and was signed by nearly 14,000 supporters.

Ronaldo first put the property on the market for $ 9 million in 2019, but was forced to further reduce the price after receiving no offers.
Property problems: Last October, Ronaldo received a notice informing him that he had to demolish a tennis court and a building attached to his other home in Geres, northern Portugal, by March.
Sheep count: Ronaldo was also reportedly forced to leave his Manchester mansion in September 2021 due to security concerns. His security team advised him to leave the 10,000-square-foot property because of a public footpath that crosses the site and the nearby road. The Portuguese star is also said to be worried about the bleating of the sheep, which interrupted his vacation.
