The Queen, formerly known as Mary Donaldson, stunned in a long navy velvet dress as she took the stage.

The 51-year-old accessorized with a pair of dark blue stilettos and silver statement earrings.

The brunette’s hair was swept away from her face and she opted for a clear makeup palette with rosy cheeks and pink lipstick.

Frederik looked dapper for the event in a gray tuxedo, a tonal vest and a white button-down shirt.

The Crown Princess becomes Queen of Denmark when Frederik ascends to the throne following his mother’s death or abdication.

When Mary met Frederik at the Slip Inn during the 2000 Olympics, she had no idea he was the heir to a European throne.

The couple maintained a long-distance relationship until Mary moved to Copenhagen, where they married in May 2004.

Since marrying her prince, she is known to have returned to Australia at least nine times – four of which were official visits.

Before the pandemic, the family would visit at least every one to two years, but after 2017 this slowed down.

Denmark’s future king and queen have four children together: Prince Christian (18), Princess Isabella (16) and 12-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
