On Thursday morning (30), two more hostages were released from captivity by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
The French woman with Israeli nationality Mia Shem (21) and the Israeli Amit Soussana (40) returned to their families after 55 days of kidnapping.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office shared on social media the moment of Mia’s reunion with her mother and brother at Hatzerim Air Base.
The images show the young girl getting out of an Israeli army armored vehicle and running into her mother’s arms. The three hug, kiss and cry a lot.
The ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas terrorists began last Friday (24) and has been extended twice this week, with the last day being tomorrow.
Within seven days, around a hundred hostages were freed and left the Gaza Strip. In return, Israel released at least 300 Palestinian prisoners.
Women and children were given priority in this first phase. The US and Qatar broker the ceasefire and try to continue it to free more civilians.
The war was triggered by the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, in which 1,200 people were massacred and 240 civilians and military personnel were kidnapped.
