In 2024, SAL Doctoral College, a Silicon Austria Labs program for PhD students, will welcome 18 new participants as part of the EU-supported CRYSTALLINE program.
The CRYSTALLINE program offered by SAL Doctoral College (SAL-DC) is a promising initiative to train doctoral students in the field of electronics-based systems (EBS). With support from the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Cofund Action (MSCA), the program will welcome 18 new PhD students this year. Silicon Austria Labs' cooperation with partner universities such as the Technical University of Graz, the University of Klagenfurt and the Johannes Kepler University Linz, as well as other renowned international partners from industry, science and education, underlines the importance of this investigation.
The areas covered by the CRYSTALLINE program are broad and include power electronics, high-resolution microscopy for biological and medical applications, as well as 6G communications and cutting-edge AI solutions. This diversity allows doctoral students to engage in diverse interdisciplinary research fields and advance cutting-edge research.
It is important that potential candidates bear in mind that participation in the CRYSTALLINE program is subject to the mobility rules of the MSCA Cofund campaign. This means that applicants must not have lived, worked or studied in Austria for more than 12 months in the last three years.
The PhD program offers promising talent the opportunity to work on innovative research and engage in an international network of scientists and industry partners.
