Havana, August 17 (RHC) A selection of the best Cuban literature and its publishers will be open to the public from this Wednesday at the University of Panama as part of the activities of the 2022 International Book Fair.

The export manager of the Cuban Soy Agency of Artex (the leader in the arts and culture promotion of the Antilles nation), José Negrín, told Prensa Latina that, as on previous occasions, the Expo sale is reaching the higher education exchanges with a knowledgeable and eager audience for the best of our literature.

He highlighted the reception of all genres, especially works with an educational content such as Pedagogía from the publishers Félix Varela and Pueblo y Educación; or Complete Poetry, by national hero José Martí.

He said that they were also present and with great acceptance “José Raúl Capablanca, how do you play chess?”, from the scientific-technical publisher; Books on Santeria, Music and African Languages ​​and American Spanish, by the author Sergio Valdés Bernal.

“Anthological writers such as Alejo Carpentier and several of his deliveries, including ‘The Kingdom of This World’ (1949), ‘The Harp and the Shadow’ and almost all of his essays, as well as poems by José Lezama Lima and Carilda Oliver Labra are still in the preference of the Panamanians,” said Negrín.

The official highlighted the support received by the National Coordinator for Solidarity with Cuba in Panama, the Cuban Embassy and the Union of National Education Workers (Siten).

He announced that as part of a tradition this year, the sample of Cuban literature will also arrive at other higher education institutions such as the Specialized University of the Americas and the Higher Institute of Business Administration.
