Cuba confirms 20 new cases of Covid-19
In Cuba, a total of 2,000 116 samples were taken for surveillance for Covid19, 20 of which were positive. The country collects 14 million 131,000 385 samples taken and 1 million 111,031 positive
Havana Cuba. – At the end of yesterday September 17, a total of 160 patients were enrolled, 69 suspects and 91 confirmed active patients.
On the day in Cuba for Covid19, a total of 2,116 samples were taken for surveillance, 20 of which were positive. The country collects 14,131,385 samples taken and 1,111,031 positives.
Of the total cases (20): 11 were contacts of confirmed cases; 1 with a foreign source of infection, 8 without a specified source of infection. Of the 20 cases diagnosed, 11 were female and 9 male.
Three asymptomatic cases were reported that day, for a total of 147,480 cases, which is (13.3%) of the cases confirmed to date.
The 20 diagnosed cases belong to the age groups: under 20 years (11), 20 to 39 years (3), 40 to 59 years (2), and 60 years and older (4).

Out of 1 million 111 thousand 031 patients diagnosed with the disease, 91 remain in the hospital, 90 of them with stable clinical development. There are 8,530 deaths (0 per day), a case fatality rate of 0.77% versus 1.06% in the world and 1.59% in America; two evacuees, 57 returned to their countries, on the day there were 18 dismissals, they accumulate 1 million 102 thousand 351 (99.2%). 1 confirmed severe patient is being treated in intensive care.
