HAVANA, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) — The Cuban government today expressed solidarity and condolences to China after an earthquake that caused more than a hundred deaths and property damage in the northwest of the Asian country.

The Chancellor expressed “solidarity and condolences to the people and government of China as well as the families of the deceased” and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
According to the China Seismological Networks Center, the earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers at midnight (local time) on Monday.
