Havana, January 2 (ACN) On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the revolution, Cuba received congratulations from around the world through social networks and messages to the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and the President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
This was declared today by the Cuban Presidency, which highlighted on its website the recognition of millions of people around the world who continue to find an example of resistance to the aggressiveness of the greatest empire known to mankind.
According to the text, letters of congratulations were received from about fifty leaders, including from China, Egypt, France, Italy, Vietnam, Türkiye, Switzerland, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Australia, Croatia and Sri Lanka, Palestine and Panama.
They also sent messages to Cuba, His Holiness Pope Francis; and the Kings of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Spain and Morocco.

“The memorable victory of the revolutionary people of Cuba continues to shake the consciences of the world and disrupts Yankee imperialism’s claims to maintain its hegemony over the rebel wave that is advancing and demanding justice. Long live Cuba, always victorious!” wrote Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Twitter.
On the same social network, former Bolivian President Evo Morales stressed that Cuba keeps alive the flame of freedom that lights the path of dignity, unity and solidarity of the anti-imperialist Patria Grande.
He also stressed that this was a day to demand that the United States lift the criminal blockade against the Caribbean nation, recalling the conviction and loyalty of the revolution’s historic leader, Fidel Castro, who, along with revolutionary brothers like Che Guevara Yankee defeated imperialism. .
In the days leading up to the celebration (January 1), the Cuban head of state reported on his telephone conversations with the Presidents of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, during which he received congratulations on the national day.
Daniel Ortega, President of Nicaragua, and Vice President Rosario Murillo have sent a letter to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and Díaz-Canel, citing the unyielding dignity and sovereignty that Cuba has been demonstrating for 64 years.
The leaders’ message highlights that the Cuban and Sandinista revolutions were enlightened by the genius and enlightened vision of Fidel, to whom Nicaragua knew how to become a brother in the same search for rights and well-being for peoples.
For his part, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said in his statement that the island of freedom continues to defend its independence under heavy economic sanctions and political pressure.
“The attempts at dictation by the United States and its allies against small but independent countries like Belarus and Cuba are forcing us to stand firmer and move forward with determination,” he added.
Vice-President of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dimitriv A. Medvedev also sent a congratulatory message, expressing his belief that the traditionally fraternal relations between the two countries will gradually develop in the spirit of strategic partnership for the benefit of the peoples.
