Cuba emphasizes the priority of relations with the Pacific Islands
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez highlighted the ties between the largest of the Antilles and the small island states in the Pacific Ocean
Havana Cuba. – Highlighted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez the ties of the largest of the Antilles with the small island states of the Pacific Ocean.
Rodríguez posted a message on Twitter celebrating the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the Solomon Islands, a nation with which there are exemplary relations of friendship, cooperation and solidarity.
#Cuba?? it attaches high priority to friendship and cooperation with the small island nations of the Pacific.
This year we also celebrate the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with Nauru??, Tonga??, Fiji??, Kiribati?? and Cook Islands??.

He added that this year Cuba is celebrating two decades of diplomatic relations with other states in the region, such as Nauru, Tonga, Fiji, Kiribati Cook Islands, noting that Havana attaches high priority to its friendly and cooperative relations.
The island has official ties with 14 nations in this region and since 2017 has established a diplomatic mission in Suva, Fiji with the consent of 11 states, marking renewed commitment to the South Pacific.
