Congratulations have come from China, Egypt, France, Italy, Vietnam, Vatican City, Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Morocco, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia and Türkiye, according to newspaper.
Heads of State and Government from Russia, DPRK, Switzerland, Greece, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Poland, Dominican Republic, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Croatia, Sri Lanka, Palestine and Panama also sent messages.
On January 1, 1959, the rebel army led by Fidel Castro defeated the tyrannical forces of Fulgencio Batista, achieving revolutionary triumph and national liberation.
