Cuban applies for a US humanitarian visa for his daughter who was killed in an accident in Mexico

Felipe Díaz, father of a death survivor Cuban migrant accident in Veracruz, Mexico, begs for her daughter “Humanitarian Visa” in the United States, where medical solutions are expected for the young woman’s serious injuries, Telemundo 51 reported this Sunday.

“I am asking for a humanitarian visa to enter the United States to get treatment in the largest country in the world to see if I can save my daughter,” the father said.

The victim, Ailed Díaz, has difficulty speaking and remains convalescent after being put on an oxygen machine after undergoing more than 8 hours of surgery to rebuild his spine. Her father explained that the 25-year-old was one of the passengers in the truck that crashed on March 15 on a Veracruz highway while carrying undocumented immigrants.

“All I remember is riding in the seat and nothing else until I woke up in the hospital,” Diaz said. According to local authorities, the speeding killed at least 3 people and caused more than a dozen injuries.

“She got it in her head to come because she says everyone would come but I told her it was very dangerous and she told me she couldn’t take it anymore that she Got to go and I told her we’re going to do it,” he recalled of his father, who lives in Houston, Texas.
