Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez attended the ministerial conference of the Group of 77 plus China on December 15, where he stressed the role of unity in this bloc.
In his Twitter account, the foreign minister indicated that the Union is vital and strategic in the context of a multidimensional crisis and will be a pillar that will uphold the Caribbean nation during its pro-tempore presidency in 2023.
Rodríguez added that the agenda of the ministerial meeting includes various issues of crucial importance for the countries of the South.
While millions of dollars are allocated to finance wars and arms races, the South bears the burden of poverty, underdevelopment, debt and centuries of colonial exploitation and structural deformation, the Chancellor wrote on Twitter.

It is the first time the island has assumed this responsibility, which was announced as part of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
