The obligation to promote the cause of our people and an integration that eliminates inequality and guarantees sovereignty over its resources is inalienable, said Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez this Saturday in Puebla.

After thanking him for the invitation to the event and conveying greetings from the revolutionary leader Raúl Castro Ruz and Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, he expressed that in this meeting he felt the spiritual presence of Fidel Castro and José Martí de Che have and Chávez (Hugo) because there is a rebirth of Bolivarian ideals that bring us together and mobilize us.
The meeting of the group, he specified, takes place at a time when in the political balance of our America there is an irreversible trend of progress and transition from a unipolar system, from an oppressive neoliberal globalization and the hegemonic rule of imperialism multilateral system accumulates new kind.
He recalled that a meeting of the Group of 77 and China from all over the South had just ended in Havana, which clearly expressed a common idea linked to the progressive ideals of the Puebla Group.
Also with its proposals and risks and with the possibilities of a financial pact, not like other meetings in Paris or Brussels, which did not give a cent to the South and did not even mention the word sovereignty to our people.
He said that the meeting in Puebla was good to analyze the keys to what is happening in the 21st century, and in this context he asked the coordinator to disseminate among the participants of the meeting the introduction of the proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone Peace agreement adopted in Havana in January 2014, with specific positions linked to the legacy and goals of contemporary progressivism.
Among other things, he cited the need for collective defense, the resurgence of fascism, the use of political violence against democracy and the defense of human rights.
He confirmed that in Cuba the construction of socialism continues as a means of overcoming the challenges, the revolution is being renewed and progress is being made towards the future, amid a serious economic situation due to the tightening of the blockade imposed by the United States 60 years ago and exacerbated first by Donald Trump and then by Joe Biden.
He denounced that the blockade has never been more illegal and inhumane than it is now, saying that it is causing great humanitarian damage and, at the same time, has never been more extraterritorial and cruel than was shown during the Covid-19 pandemic, at the height of which it occurred Cuba banned the purchase of lung ventilators and blocked the import of oxygen.
He called on the United States government to remove Cuba from the rogue list of countries that sponsor terrorism, where Donald Trump placed it nine days before leaving the presidency, but Joe Biden kept it there.

For this reason we wanted to present this IX. at the meeting, calmly and with numbers in hand, put forward the proposal for a new financial architecture to counteract the negative effects of sanctions, and globalization cannot be accepted by maintaining these immoral and unjust measures.
Samper announced that a proposal is also being considered to end the war in Ukraine, whose peace we are all committed to, and that is what we are proposing in the document on international policy, which includes a ceasefire leading to ways of peace leads.
