Cuban Mom Responds To Joke Her Son Made About Her (Video)

the youtuber Alex Otaola shared on his show Hi! ota-ola a phone joke made by a young man residing in the United States to his Cuban mother, who still lives on the island, and which – according to the presenter – was moved by the strength of Antillean women.

“A phone joke that made me sad but also proud of those mothers who can overcome the pain of separation from a child as long as the child is doing well. Mothers who did not leave their son behind preferred their son to go first.”Otaola hinted in his program.

It’s a WhatsApp conversation between the young man and his mother, who appears to live in Santa Clara province, one of the provinces hardest hit by Castro’s repression. In the conversation, the young man tells her that he has already bought a ticket to return to the island because he “misses” her, provoking the impressive reaction of this Cuban mother.

“Someone who is dying to go to the United States, and you who are in the United States are crazy about coming to Cuba.”

During the minute-long joke, the woman tells her son that every Antilles would even prefer to live in Haiti because of Cuba’s dramatic health crisis, collapse of public services, power outages lasting more than 12 hours, food shortages and shortages of medicines, as well as the worsening Inflation drives families crazy.

“Don’t come to Cuba, I’m telling you because I love you (…) Look, everyone prefers to go to Haiti, even I want to go to Haiti (…) The only thing I’ve asked this God for is in heaven that my children were in a truly free land, a land of opportunity… They’re going to want to come here and turn back.”

“You know that you are my life, you and your brothers, my three children are my life, but if you come to Cuba I will not open the doors for you, so you will stay on the street, I don’t know where to go . you will go. I love you, but I love you in a bright future in a land of freedom.”said the Cuban mother, before her son agreed and claimed he would return to the island.
