The Cuban musician Tirso Duarte He died this Tuesday in Colombia at the age of 45 after being stabbed in the town of Tumaco, Nariño.
After the attack, the singer, composer, pianist and arranger disappeared reported serious and had been shifted to Pasto Departmental Hospital.
According to a medical report from the first hospital where he was treated, the artist had serious injuries and was “in poor general condition, without an accompanying person; with a diagnosis of severe traumatic brain injury and a chest wound from a sharp weapon.”

Havana native Tirso began his career as Pachito Alonso’s keyboardist and later was pianist for La Charanga Habanera until 2001.
The singer later became one of the main voices of NG La Banda and was also the founder of the Pupy and Los Que Son Son orchestras.
