A Cuban cultural promoter suffered one brutal attack by two criminals last Friday in Havana, in another incident that highlights this Escalation of violence and insecurity in Cuba.
The victim was this time Ishmael Jaramillowho was severely beaten after a robbery at dawn on Sept. 1, in the middle of 23rd and G, in Vedado, according to the actor’s complaint Daniel Martin Subiaut on social networks.

“This man full of light, named Ismael Jaramillo, returned from a visit to his elderly parents in Cienfuegos at dawn on September 1st (6:30 a.m.) at 23rd and G. In the heart of Vedado, he was attacked by two criminals “After robbing him, they beat him until he was dead,” Subiaut said in his post, which he documented with photos showing the merciless beating.
The pictures show that Severe injury that the criminals injured Jaramillo in the head and face and that they put his life in danger.
The actor said in his publication that Jaramillo regained consciousness at the Calixto García Hospital “where he was successfully treated,” and although he “can speak,” he lamented that “he still has a long way to go, to get well again”.

“As far as I know these potential murderers have not been caught, I don’t know if there is an ongoing investigation. And yes, I want to know,” he explained in his publication, in which he revealed that he had known the cultural promoter since his youth and considered him “a loving person.”
Subiaut explained that he made his publication for two reasons. The first of these “Spiritual: May we send you the best energy for your speedy recovery”; and the second to report.
“What was done to catch these attackers?” he asked. “Before it was Ishmael, tomorrow it could be your father. If it happened on 23rd and G (where there have to be cameras) and they weren’t caught, what can we expect for other places?”
“My message is in good faith that we will continue to follow this trail to avoid what happened to him in others,” said the Cuban actor hopefully.
