Some researchers agree that simply opening the window to let pollutants out of an indoor space does not work in urban areas with a high number of buildings because at the same time the polluted air from outside can enter the house.
This has motivated a group of scientists from the University of Washington in the United States to work on a new generation of plants designed to be efficient as air purifiers.
Argentine researchers recently discovered a new species of rodent in the Laguna Brava Provincial Reserve in La Rioja province in this South American country. It belongs to the genus Ctenomys, a group of rodents with predominantly subterranean habits, commonly called Oculto or Tuco Tuco.
As for physical characteristics, the rodent weighs 300 grams, has a robust body and long nails that allow it to dig in burrows and seek shelter. The hair on the legs is arranged in a row. In addition, it has very small eyes and ears and a relatively short tail, unlike the mice we usually see. The front and hind legs are short and sturdy, characteristics that make them good diggers.
