Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt releases the checkbook – Factornews

Everything was (almost) back to normal at CD Projekt, the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series had boosted sales of Cyberpunk 2077, boosting the Polish developer’s third-quarter financial result revenue by 70 percent to 54 million dollars. Also, after fixing the game, they were finally able to work hard on the only solo expansion planned for 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. What could happen to them now? Well, a really annoying ghost from the past has returned to make her bleed even more.

Yes, on December 10th, 2020, when Cyberpunk 2077 was released, so a little over two years ago, it came off as completely freaky as I’m sure you remember. Finally, especially on PS4 and Xbox One, which performed well in the art of cubism, but the players did not like it, preferring the refund box for some. However, there was another category of victims, much less forgiving and, importantly, with more resources: investors. They had therefore filed a class action lawsuit against CD Projekt in California.

Eventually, to avoid a lawsuit, the Polish company agreed this year to pay a large $1.85 million check to complete an amicable settlement and a cessation of the lawsuits. We expect her to sign more, and just as big, as she was also attacked in court by New York-based law firm Rosen Law in early 2021 for the same reasons. However, CD Projekt can take consolation in the fact that they managed the feat of recently selling one million copies of The Witcher 3 in Japan, and that’s quite an achievement for a Western game.
