A teenager was shot in a classroom at a school in Offenburg. Investigators assume personal background.
After Teenager’s gun attack on classmate in southern Germany City of Offenburg the victim died. The minor succumbed to serious injuries in hospital, police and the Baden-Württemberg city prosecutor said on Thursday. The alleged perpetrator, who was the same age, was arrested in a classroom after the attack and taken into custody. Investigators assume a “personal motive” for the crime.
The suspect entered a classroom at lunchtime, approached his classmate who was sitting at the time of the crime and shot him at least once with a firearm, investigators said. “As a result, he suffered the most serious injuries,” he said in a statement. Police then received several emergency calls. A man who happened to be there held the young man until the police arrived.

Around 180 students were evacuated
