Dozens of demonstrators flocked to Makhachkala airport in the Russian Republic of Dagestan to protest the arrival of a plane from Israel. This was reported by Russian media outlets such as Sota and Astra, which also showed videos of the raid showing people running through the terminal waving Palestinian flags. The crowd started looking for passengers on the plane that actually landed, but – as Sota explains – this flight is mainly used as a connecting flight to Moscow due to the high cost of direct tickets. This guaranteed most passengers that they would not get off in Makhachkala.
