Lula (PT) and Jair Bolsonaro (PL) will take part in the second round of voting scheduled for October 30; the PT led the first round with 48% of the vote and the current President had 43%. More than 32 million voters did not vote, the highest abstention since 1998. In 13 states and the federal district, the dispute over the government ended in the first ballot 12 governors were reelected. The PL, Jair Bolsonaro’s party, elected the largest bench in the Senate: 8 MPs; União Brasil comes in second with 5, followed by the PT with 4.
