After a fairytale wedding on July 9 at the Basilica of San Frediano in Lucca, announced via social media and then followed “live” by dozens of fans and onlookers who came to brave the sweltering heat, Damiano was in favor Carrara and Chiara Maggenti the moment of a romantic weekend in South Africa. Their first vacation as a couple for the well-known pastry chef from Lucca, face of Real Time and Bake Off Italia and Cake Star in particular, and his sweet half who is also the manager of the pastry shop that opened a few months ago in Carrara, on the outskirts of Lucca. In Stories from Instagram, the pair shared the journey to Fiumicino Airport from where they departed for South Africa, the destination of that dreamed-of honeymoon that had previously caused work commitments to put off the newlywed couple. The arrival in Johannesburg was also reported on social networks, with many comments on the temperatures, which – apparently – are more acceptable at the moment than the Italian ones and especially those of Lucca.
