Dancing On Ice’s Siva Kaneswaran revealed that he banged his head on the ice in a horrific fall during rehearsals, resulting in him being diagnosed with a mild concussion.
The Wanted singer, 34, has been training hard with pro partner Klabera Komini ahead of the launch of the ITV show this weekend but suffered a setback when he suffered a fall days ago.
Siva shared how a fall like this “can really knock your confidence down,” but added that injuries while training on the show are “part of the journey”.

Siva reported to Web and other media about the accident, saying: “Friday just passed, I had a bad fall. I hit the back of my head. So, as of today, I was diagnosed with a mild concussion.
“I just kind of want to get back on the ice because it can really knock your confidence, especially if you just broke your head on the ice.
“But I was just expecting that and trying to stay focused and determined and knowing that this is part of the journey.”

When asked if he was receiving medical attention at the time, Siva said: “Fortunately we have a paramedic next to the rink and we also have a physiotherapist in the building.
“So we did blood pressure and blood and they checked my eyes and it’s all there, I’m still here so I’m fine!”

“I don’t remember it, but it’s part of it. Part of that, as you know, is falling and getting up and braving it.
It comes after Siva previously said on Good Morning Britain that his late bandmate Tom Parker inspired him to take part in the show.
“I look forward to meeting all the cast. I want to learn to skate and make my family proud of me and put on a show for all to see and hopefully not make a fool of myself!’ he said at the time.

He added: “To be honest I just live day by day. But mostly I look back and smile. He taught me so much about life. He taught me to live life and not be afraid. That’s one of the reasons I’m doing the show.
“He was 33. I just chatted with him [his widow] Kelly yesterday. She’s fine, she just keeps her head up and takes it day by day.
Dancing on Ice returns to ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday 15 January at 18:30.
