"dancing star" Sarkissova revealed almost died!

After a “terrible” year, prima ballerina Karina Sarkissova leaves the jury table for a dance floor and appears as a candidate on “Dancing Stars”.

Russian dancer Karina Sarkissova has been an integral part of the “Dancing Stars” jury since 2017. For ORF, the dancer commented on the performance of outstanding amateur dancers. Now she is switching sides and, as a candidate, faces the judgment of her sports peers. Speaking to “Krone”, Sarkissova reveals her attitude towards the war in Ukraine and reveals that she almost lost her life during the pandemic.

“My heart bleeds every day,” admits ORF in an interview. She doesn’t understand why we still have to fight all these days. “We thought for a long time that this was over. Why can’t the presidents meet and come to an agreement?” Although she emphasizes that she is not political and therefore doesn’t want to talk about the war, the dancer still wants to make her contribution. For this reason, she also decided to donate part of her “Dancing Stars” fee to Ukraine. In light of recent events, it will also provide funds for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

The last few years have not only been easy for Sarkissova on a global level, but also for Sarkissova personally. “In 2020 I caught Corona and almost died”, reveals the prima ballerina. “I was in hospital in Budapest for 6 weeks with pneumonia on both sides with six other people in the room, two of whom died,” she continues. The situation was so serious that she had already said goodbye to her children.

Fortunately, the blonde survived this difficult moment, but was immediately faced with the next obstacle: “So I also got Long Covid, although I didn’t really believe in Corona before. 1.5 years ago there was a herniated disc.” These health blows of fate meant that the Russian had to give up sports. His mental state also suffered a lot. “I couldn’t train anymore, I had depression and gained a lot of weight. When I finally wanted to stop training, I broke my leg in the fall and gained another 5kg”, she reveals to “Krone”.
