The New York Giants addressed a key issue by offering quarterback Daniel Jones a new four-year contract on Tuesday just before the deadline for handing franchise player tags to the NFL.

According to The Score, the 25-year-old has signed a deal worth $160 million. He could also get an additional $35 million in performance bonuses.

Jones is coming off his best NFL season of his career, helping the Giants return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. In the regular season, he had 3,205 yards and 15 through-air touchdowns, plus seven majors To with his feet.

The quarterback was one of the two priority acts for the New York team this offseason. The other running back Saquon Barkley, who could have become a free agent next week.
