In an interview for ComicBook.com on Monday, the Swiss Army Man star didn’t specifically rule out appearing on the HBO television series, but didn’t say he was aiming for an appearance either.
“I understand they’re really trying to start over and I’m sure whoever is responsible for this will want to put their own stamp on it without necessarily having to bring old Harry back anywhere,” explained the 33-year-old actor . So I don’t plan on being there at all… But of course I wish them all the luck in the world and I’m very glad that this torch is over. Daniel Radcliffe played the young wizard in the first film adaptation of the novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, in 2001. He then had that role until 2011’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 alongside Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley.
He is currently promoting the fourth season of the Miracle Workers anthology series with Steve Buscemi and Geraldine Viswanathan. It will be released in the US on July 10th.
