Journalist Daniela Lima resigned this Thursday (June 22, 2023) from CNN Brasil to join GloboNews’ journalism team. The CNN 360º host has been on the news network for three years since March 2020.
Now Grupo Globo announced in a message (read below), Lima will lead “Conexão GloboNews” with journalists Leilane Neubarth in Rio de Janeiro and Camila Bomfim in Brasília. The program will be broadcast live from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
“Veteran journalist Daniela Lima, known for her tireless pursuit of exclusive news, joins the channel to further enrich the women’s team of ‘Conexão GloboNews,'” the network said.

“Daniela Lima was tasked with designing the project and was instrumental in the implementation and consolidation of CNN in the country. An excellent reporter and presenter of rare talent, since the channel’s debut in March 2020, she has become the protagonist of political journalism and a reference for countless professionals,” he said.
Before making her debut at CNN Brasil, Lima was editor of the column “Painel” of the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, presenter of the program “Roda Viva” and of TV Cultura, and also worked for Veja magazine and the newspaper Correio Braziliense.

“From July, GloboNews will have a number of novelties in its morning and Sunday programming. “And on Sundays, Bete Pacheco, who was an interim on Conexão GloboNews, makes her debut as presenter of the Sunday Special alongside Erick Bang from 6pm to 11pm. The journalist belongs to the select group of professionals who created GloboNews in 1996. Bete’s career, which is closely linked to the culture and education departments of the city of São Paulo, will contribute even more to the Sunday news. Erick Bang, on the other hand, hosted the station’s evening news programs at weekends and ran the morning news programs for 11 years. Previously, it ran over the Globo Radio System.
“Partnership with Valor Econômico
“Another premiere will move the broadcaster in July. GloboNews and Valor Econômico have partnered to allow professionals from the newspaper to participate live in the TV newscasts from Monday to Friday. Journalists will make entries in “Em Ponto”, “Conexão”, “GloboNews Mais” and “J10” directly from the Valor Econômico newsroom. The interaction between the two vehicles will take place in different formats, adapting to the profile of each newspaper.”
