Daniela Lima said goodbye to CNN 360º viewers

Chaos reigns behind the scenes at CNN Brasil. Dissatisfied, Daniela Lima resigned from the news channel this Thursday (22), saying goodbye live, in a crooked and indirect way, to her CNN 360º viewers. There is an internal current fighting to reverse the moderator’s decision. But most executives didn’t bother negotiating their tenure.
The moderator’s main dissatisfaction with her superiors was related to interference in the agendas she examined and created, and in the direction of political reporting. Daniela disagreed with many things, including being ordered to soften her tone when pointing out the positive aspects of Lula’s tenure as president and toning down her comments towards Bolsonaro.
“Thank you to you for sticking with me to this day, to this point. CNN, you in everything. Bye, see you next time, ”said Daniela at the end of the television news yesterday afternoon (21). The farewell was rather odd and completely outside of the pattern the host has been following since the news channel debuted.

Daniela Lima was tasked with designing the project and was instrumental in the implementation and consolidation of CNN in the country. An excellent reporter and presenter of rare talent, since the channel debuted in March 2020, she has become the protagonist of political journalism and a reference for countless professionals.
CNN Brasil and the audience that follows her are grateful to Daniela Lima for her camaraderie and dedication, and wish her luck and success in her next challenge.

Daniela was responsible for transforming the way television journalism is done on cable television. With her years of reporting experience, she began doing live research, making the news hotter and livelier. CNN Brasil adopted this style as a brand and to become a presenter on the channel you had to go beyond reading the teleprompter.
His innovative style and passion for reporting even forced GloboNews to change the profile of its newscasts. Several reporters were promoted to anchors, and professional anchors who didn’t even have sources were eventually fired and demoted.

Daniela Lima is not only a presenter but also a journalist and podcaster with a degree in Journalism from the Centro Universitário de Brasília (UniCeub). Daniela has been the presenter of the CNN 360° news program since it opened in March 2020.
She previously worked at Veja magazine and Correio Braziliense newspaper and became a reporter for Folha de São Paulo, where she worked from 2010 to 2017, when she became editor of the Panel column. In August 2019 she was hired by TV Cultura to replace Ricardo Lessa on Roda Viva and in December of the same year she was hired by CNN Brasil.
