Danny Bonaduce: I have to have brain surgery… after a serious health crisis

Danny Bonaduce is under the knife…preparing for brain surgery after a serious health crisis left him unable to walk or balance.
The actor and radio host tells TMZ, “After seeing hundreds of doctors about a mysterious illness, he was finally diagnosed in March with hydrocephalus … a neurological disorder caused by a buildup of fluid in the brain.”
The operation is scheduled for Monday and it is hoped that this will ease the symptoms.
The Partridge Family star began battling the mysterious illness last April after his wife noticed he could no longer speak, walk or balance. He was in the hospital for five days and underwent a battery of tests. Doctors ruled out a stroke but couldn’t make a diagnosis.
While Danny says no one knows exactly how he got into such bad shape, he wonders if that has anything to do with all the wear and tear he’s endured over the years… slapping guitars in the face and boxing Jose Canseco.
Danny says the surgery will drain the fluid from his brain through a shunt.
Meanwhile, Danny does his radio show from home.
Of course, Danny concedes that it’s always possible that the surgery won’t cure everything… but it sounds like he’s going into the operating room with the right attitude.
