In 1985, at just under two years old, Dascha Yolaine Polanco emigrated with her parents Rubén Darío Polanco and Janet Polanco to live in Brooklyn, USA, but her roots lay in her native Dominican Republic, specifically in the Capotillo expansion of the Capital where she was born and where she reunited with her family every summer and became a true Dominican.
