When calling the reporter Caia Messina, standing in front of the Palácio do Alvorada, asked Datena about the President’s conduct in the light of the investigation. Then he imitated the voice, the manner of speaking and the usual comments with attacks on the press.

“Did you ever hear any screams nearby? [imitando voz de Bolsonaro] “I didn’t say this research business was worthless, did I!? That press there…’? Have you ever heard anything like that out there?”

The joke amused reporter Caiã Messina. “Not at the moment Datena, but it looks like it’s safe, see?!” the journalist replied. At that point, the poll showed Bolsonaro at 48% versus 42% for Lula (PT), counting about 15% of the polls.

“I spoke to some people who are in the Palácio da Alvorada next to President Jair Bolsonaro and the atmosphere is obviously not that of ‘already won’. But of course there is a lot of celebration,” continued Caiã Messina.

In the latest voting intention polls, Lula appeared with 50% and 51% of valid votes, respectively, while Bolsonaro fluctuated between 36% and 37%, according to figures released on Saturday (1) by DataFolha and IPEC.
