Dave Mustaine is still not satisfied with his Metallica past, as he proved in a recent interview.

during one Twitter chat with RattleheadsNFTthe Megadeth frontman was asked how his band was discovered and signed to a record label, and of course he mentioned Metallica.

He replied: “Initially I had a group called Panic. I lived in Huntington Beach. There were a lot of bands playing at parties and I found it kind of funny going to those parties and hitting on girls. And I started to see how easy it is for guitar players to have people take care of them, give them attention, treat them with respect and stuff like that, and I knew that was exactly what I wanted. This is how Panic started. That band didn’t last long and I ended up going to Metallica where I played for about two years and then came Megadeth.

He continued, “After I left Metallica, everyone wanted to know what I was going to do because I was a big part of Metallica’s success. People who visited them after I left and didn’t know there had been a line-up change said that there was something very, very be very different. That’s when people started asking me. And the rest is legend.”

He added: “Nevertheless, I think the band did very well. You defended yourself well. In fact, I think Kirk [Hammett] I played my games well. Getting into a band and having to play someone else’s parts isn’t always fun, but I think he was a gentleman and did a great job.
