David Beckham shared his love for Galician delicacies in his latest Instagram story update – but fans will be shocked at the price.
The 48-year-old Inter Miami FC owner dined at Barcelona's best seafood restaurant, Botafumeiro, where he was also spoon-fed eels by the very attentive manager.
During his visit, David revealed that he ate a plate of percebes – known as the most expensive seafood in the world – on Tuesday evening.
The rare seafood can cost up to £400 a pound and will set shoppers back around £80 for a portion of between 15 and 20 percebes.
Percebes are so expensive because of their rarity, and they are also incredibly difficult and dangerous to recover.

Despite the high price, Percebes do not have the most appetizing appearance, with some comparing them to dragon claws and dinosaur toes

The price wasn't a problem for David – who is reportedly worth around £350million – as he revealed he loves wearing them in Spain.
David, who was living in Spain while playing for Real Madrid FC, shared snaps of the questionable-looking snack on his social media.
What are perceptions?
Percebes (gooseneck barnacles) are crustaceans that attach themselves to rocks in the larval stage.
The name comes from the ancient belief that geese would hatch from barnacles because of their similar shape and color.
Although it later turned out that geese migrate south for the winter, the delicacy has retained its name.
David held the percebes up to the camera for a snap and wrote: “One of my favorite dishes when it's in season in Spain.”
He also shared a close-up picture and added: 'Soooo good! Gracias.'
After his visit, manager Juan Jesus Perez Alonso posted a funny clip on his social media page.
He could be seen spooning David eels into his mouth before wiping his chin with a napkin.
David shares a love of cooking and food with his eldest son and aspiring chef Brooklyn, 24, who is about to launch a collaboration with UberEats.
Earlier this week, Brooklyn admitted that he and his famous dad David use similar techniques when it comes to romancing their wives on date night.
Brooklyn revealed that he prefers to make fresh pasta, a tip he learned from his father, who also makes Italian staples for Brooklyn's mother, Victoria.
Brooklyn shared a clip online of himself making a delicious meat and tomato pasta.
He said, “My pasta is perfect for date night, it's something I cooked for my wife on our date nights, something my dad cooked for my mom.”
Although he recently revealed that his wife Nicola, a 29-year-old actress, “can't cook to save her life,” Brooklyn admitted he tried to teach her how to make pasta.

He said, “My favorite food is home cooking.” I taught my wife how to make pasta. “Yeah, she really enjoys it.”
As he put the finishing touches on his dish, Brooklyn rubbed a generous amount of cheese on top and said, “I love a lot of cheese, so I'll do it the way I would.”
Brooklyn joked about Nicola's cooking skills in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, where he also revealed that his love of cooking comes from his father.
He said: “My father was always the one cooking in the house, my mother not so much. I just loved hanging out in the kitchen with him, I loved the smell of food.”
Brooklyn, who first began sharing cooking content online in 2021, said he also enjoys cooking with his siblings Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12.
He said: “We never say it's like a competition, even if we get on each other's nerves a bit – that's just what brothers do.” All of us in the kitchen. Just listen to music, cook together, it's fun. The best.'
