David Beckham’s comments about the 2004 affair allegations in his recent Netflix documentary “Beckham” may have been an attempt to clear his name, but it appears to have backfired. Unearthing claims from his former assistant Rebecca Loos, who claims the couple had an affair while she worked for the soccer star, has only brought more scrutiny to Beckham and his marriage to wife Victoria Beckham. Now reports are resurfacing outlining Loos’ side of the story, including her alleged proof that the affair took place.
Loos first addressed the affair in an interview on Sky News after the story broke, adding a reference to her alleged evidence. “I know something about him, an intimate part of his body, that I think only women who have been in bed with him know,” she said at the time.

“There was an obvious attraction. We spent a lot of time together. We just connected. We think the same way, made the same jokes and somehow had a connection,” she said. “He treated me in a special way. I always made sure I was well looked after. I started to feel very special.”
Since the docuseries, Loos has again spoken out in an interview with Chron about criticizing Beckham for his denial of the affair.
“It portrays itself as a victim and makes me look like a liar, like I made these stories up,” Loos said of the Netflix show. “He indirectly suggests that I am the one who made Victoria suffer.” She later concluded: “He is the one who caused the suffering.”
In the docuseries, the Beckhams address the fallout from Loos’ claims, similar claims from other women, and the media attention the claims generated. “It was the unhappiest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life,” said Victoria, 49. “It felt like the world was against us.”
“There were some terrible stories that were hard to deal with,” said the now-retired soccer star, 48. “It was the first time me and Victoria had faced such pressure in our marriage.”
“Honestly, I don’t know how we got through it,” he said. “Victoria means everything to me. Seeing her get hurt was incredibly hard, but we are fighters and back then we had to fight for each other, we had to fight for our family and what we had was worth fighting for.”
