According to a new report, David Koch is set to be the presenter of a rebooted version of Channel Seven’s ‘Deal or No Deal’.

The show was last hosted by the embattled Andrew O’Keefe until October 2013 when he left the show due to personal issues.

Seven ceased production of episodes of the program and aired reruns until August 2015 when it was announced that the show would be canceled along with Million Dollar Minute and replaced by The Chase Australia.

“Kochie has already expressed that while he misses television, it has to be the right role, the right hours and the right setting,” a source told Woman’s Day.

“And something like Deal or No Deal ticks all of those boxes.”

The report went on to say the broadcaster was in the process of negotiating a deal with Kochie as the issue “got to press.”

Media watchers are eagerly awaiting what Kochie does next after 21 years at Sunrise.

Book publishers are struggling to get Kochie to write his memoir, according to New Idea in June.

According to the report, the veteran TV host has already been offered $1 million.

“This will no doubt lead to a bitter bidding war among the country’s top publishers — the checkbooks will be open to whatever advance he demands,” a source said.

The source described Kochie as a “straightforward shooter” who “is sure to make explosive reading” for long-time viewers of the breakfast show.

Readers will be particularly interested in sharing his thoughts on his former Sunrise co-hosts Melissa Doyle, Samantha Armytage, and Natalie Barr.

“When it comes to the decade he shared with Mel Doyle, you can expect exuberant chapters — they’re still very close together.” The same goes for Nat Barr,” they said.

Rumors of a feud between Kochie and former co-host Sam Armytage have circulated, but the pair are consistently critical of her.
