David Pastrnak pays tribute to the Red Sox

Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak will wear special gear at the Winter Classics, taking place at Fenway Park on Monday.

The Czech star revealed via the Bruins’ Twitter account the racquet and skates that were specially made for him for the upcoming duel against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Pastrnak’s bat, which is the same color as the Boston Red Sox’s “green monster,” is adorned with baseball references.

A logo paying homage to the legendary David Ortiz can also be found on his skates and sticks.

“I hope it doesn’t bother you [Ortiz] and that it will bring me good luck, Pastrnak joked in a video posted by the Massachusetts team. I’m hoping to hit some home runs on the net.”

Still without a contract for the coming season, “Pasta” could achieve full autonomy in 2023. He looks set to hit the jackpot on his next deal, having scored 25 goals and 50 points in just 36 games since landing.
