Moschino creative director Davide Renne died today in Milan. The designer, who just a few days ago, on November 1st, took on the role of creative director of the group brand Aeffe, based in San Giovanni in Marignano, was 46 years old. The fashion house announced the news of his death “with deep condolences and great sadness.” MilanoToday writes it.
“There are no words to describe the immense pain we feel in this dramatic moment,” explains Massimo Ferretti, CEO of Aeffe. “Davide came to us just a few days ago when a sudden illness ended his life too early. young life.” We still can’t believe what happened.
With Davide, Ferretti continues, “we worked on an ambitious project, full of enthusiasm and optimism for the future.” Even though he was only with us for a short time, Davide managed to immediately feel loved and respected. Even today we are still responsible for implementing what his imagination and creativity had only conceived. We hug Davide’s family and numerous friends with affection.”
Renne was born in Follonica (Grosseto) in 1977. Immediately after graduating from Polimoda in Florence, he worked with the Neapolitan designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua and then moved to Gucci. At the Tuscan fashion house he remained at the head of the women’s fashion office for around twenty years. In his final years at Gucci, he worked with Alessandro Michele, who revolutionized the brand’s aesthetic (with enormous success). Davide Renne came to Moschino, where he replaced Jeremy Scott.
