Many protesters will join their voices in Montreal and Quebec on Saturday to call for a bigger fight against the climate crisis on Earth Day.

Those wishing to join the demonstration in Montreal can meet in front of the statue with the likeness of George-Étienne Cartier in Park Jeanne-Mance at the start of the march around 1:15 p.m., the Mouvement d’éducation populaire et d’information pointed out. Quebec Community Action (MEPACQ) via press release.

“We will take to the streets next Saturday to demand the fight against the climate crisis through the urgent phase-out of fossil fuels, a reinvestment in our social safety net and a just and inclusive transition,” he said in writing.

Several buses from Montérégie, Lanaudière, Outaouais and Center-Du-Québec will head for the demonstrations in the two metropolises.

Events are also planned in Rimouski, Trois-Rivières, Joliette, Sherbrooke, Chicoutimi, Rouyn-Noranda and Baie-Comeau.
