“It will always have a special place in my heart.”
With these words, Dayanara Torres, Miss Universe 1993, announced this Friday her separation from Brazilian television producer Marcelo Gama, after two and a half years of relationship.
In a story on her Instagram account, the model hinted that they will continue to “work on important projects” together despite the split.
“Marcelo and I have decided to end our two and a half year relationship. At this stage of my life, I see relationships differently. If they are not forever, then they are educational… I will always thank you for the beautiful moments we lived, the lessons we learned and for believing in me so much. And even though we are no longer together, respect and admiration will always be present. We will continue to work on important projects and it will always have a special place in my heart. “I take with me what I have learned,” the philanthropist wrote.
So far, Gama has not commented on the separation.
The couple was in Puerto Rico while the host also celebrated the 30th anniversary of her being crowned Miss Universe. Marcelo was the director of the images taken during the day.

They also collaborated on the recent edition of the Premios Juventud, which took place at the Puerto Rico Coliseum and where Torres was one of the hosts, directed by Gama.
“No matter what storm is going on, the turmoil behind the scenes or whatever, he is the one who keeps everyone calm, especially me. That’s why I’m happy to be able to work with him. “I feel very cared for,” Torres shared in a previous interview SPOKESMAN.
