Dear scammers

Dear scammers… |

Since the beginning of December, many Quebecers have been waiting for their check from the Quebec government to counteract the rise in the cost of living that could leave up to $600.

Beware of scams related to these controls! Revenu Québec encourages people to be careful. Fraud attempts have already been registered. Some people, like me, have received text messages asking them to click on a fake link to deposit this government-promised money into their accounts.

Not the first time

I don’t have to be the only one who gets scam calls every week. Sometimes they try to make me believe that I’m being sued by the Canadian government, other times I’m told that technology products have been purchased on my Amazon account and that the total amount is several thousand dollars.

On the internet I sometimes get emails telling me that I have inherited a large fortune and asking me to provide my personal information in order to access it.

When buying an apartment, I was asked for a huge deposit even before the first visit. And as I suspected, it was a scam. Luckily I didn’t fall for it.

I really wonder how the people running these scams sleep at night.

Are you not ashamed?

Dear scammers, aren’t you embarrassed to lie so much?

Aren’t you tired of hiding behind a screen?

Do you feel no remorse after taking advantage of people’s naivety?

You know what, dear scammers? I wish you find a legal profession that makes you feel alive. I wish you to contribute to society as it should be. You’ll see, it’s worth it.

Let’s be careful not to be fooled. Let’s make sure scammers don’t line their pockets this winter.
