  • Carlos Rengifo rose to internet fame with his daredevil stunts in Venezuela
  • Regarding his stunts, the 27-year-old told Univision: “Fear is like positive energy, it corresponds to your dreams, the thing that you are looking for and that you want.”
  • His dream is to one day perform a stunt in the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest building in the world

This real daredevil can’t wait to test the limits – if there are any – at the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khlalifa Dubai.

For now, Carlos Rengifo will be content to wow his social media followers and anyone fortunate enough can catch a glimpse of him in person in his home country of Venezuela.

The 27-year-old has been practicing the death-defying stunts for 11 years with no worries.

Any existing fears are immediately repressed – nothing stands in the way of reaching your final goal.

“Fear is like positive energy, it corresponds to your dreams, the thing you are, the thing you want,” Rengifo recently told Univision. “Negative energy, let’s say fear, paralyzes you.”

Rengifo began performing stunts in the streets of the Venezuelan capital of Caracas as a teenager before rising to much greater heights that would shake the heart of a normal person.

Videos have gone viral on his Instagram account showing him doing a backflip on the ledge of a building still under construction. He shows off his inner Spider-Man skills by climbing up and down the side of a residential building.

At Christmas 2022, he delighted his followers with a short clip of him slowly walking along the edge of another building under construction. He stopped at the corner, leaned forward and saw the busy street of a city surrounded by trees and with a sea of buildings on the horizon.

A short clip from October 2022 showed him riding his bike on the ledge of another Caracas tower.

A follower expressed doubts that the footage was real.

“It’s edited, it’s not real,” they wrote.

Another user chimed in: “What it means to have no value and appreciation for life.”

Devoid of any security gear, the Venezuelan has pulled off some tricks at Torre Parque Central in Caracas, a complex with residential, commercial and cultural projects.

Other stunts were successfully performed on the Torre David, an unfinished skyscraper.

In the end anything is possible, says Rengifo, because practice makes perfect.

“There’s no time to think because you have to train for a month or two to do the trick,” he explained. “But when you arrive at the designated place 60 floors, 100 floors, whatever, you have to think about what you’re going to do because if you arrive and think, you’re going to freeze.”
