The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) has launched an investigation following the death of a three-month-old toddler on Sunday afternoon Quebec.
SPVQ police officers were called to respond to a residence on Avenue Royale in Beauport around 1:50 p.m. when a 29-year-old woman mentioned that her three-month-old baby was no longer breathing.
Resuscitation maneuvers were carried out immediately after the police arrived.

The baby was then treated by paramedics and then escorted to hospital in an ambulance by police to maximize his chances of survival.
However, the latter did not survive. Therefore, an investigation is currently underway to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the death of this baby.
Technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit were also on site to contribute to the investigation.
The parents who were on site will be received by the investigators during the evening.
