American actor Lance Reddick, best known for his roles in The Wire and the John Wick film saga, has died at the age of 60.
Authorities reportedly told TMZ that the actor’s body was found at his Los Angeles home on Friday morning. The cause of death is currently unknown, but his death does not appear suspicious.
Lance Reddick is best known for his role as Cedric Daniels on the television series The Wire. He has also appeared on other popular TV shows such as Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Lost, Oz, Fringe, and Resident Evil.
On the big screen, we got to see the Baltimore-born actor on June 7, 1962 in the first three episodes of the John Wick saga, where he played the role of Charon. He was also in the midst of a media tour for the fourth installment in the franchise, which is set to hit theaters on March 24th.
Her television debut dates from the late 1990s with appearances on the series New York Undercover, Swift Justice and the sitcom The Nanny. After a stint on the miniseries Falcone, he landed a recurring role on the 2000 HBO drama Oz. He then signed contracts and worked on more than forty TV projects and almost as many film projects.
Lance Reddick was set to take on the role of Zeus in the developing series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The series is slated to launch on Disney+ next year.
