Daniel Auster, son of American writer Paul Auster, charged with manslaughter in mid-April after his 10-month-old daughter died of an overdose, died Tuesday, April 26 in New York, police said, with the press also of an overdose spoke . Paul Auster, 75, is one of New York’s most renowned writers, translated worldwide, author of The New York Trilogy, Moon Palace and Leviathan. He is married to American writer and essayist Siri Hustvedt, but Daniel Auster’s mother is American writer Lydia Davis.
