On the 22nd day of the conflict between Israel and the extremist group Hamas, the death toll rises to 9,103. The Hamas Ministry of Health reported in its latest report released on Saturday (October 28) that 7,703 people have died since the conflict began. The Israeli government says in its latest update that the death toll on Israeli territory is 1,400.
The attacks on the Gaza Strip have increased in intensity in the last few hours. This Saturday (October 28th), the spokesman for the Gaza Civil Defense Service reported that hundreds of buildings and houses had been “completely destroyed” in the early morning Israeli bombings alone. On Friday (October 27th) communications in Gaza were interrupted.

The Israeli army said 150 underground targets were hit in northern Gaza, where Hamas is said to be conducting its operations from a gigantic network of tunnels. He also reported killing “several Hamas terrorists,” including one of those responsible for organizing the October 7 offensive.
UN calls for “immediate humanitarian ceasefire”
The UN General Assembly passed a resolution on Friday (October 27) calling for an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire”. However, the adopted text is recommendatory in nature the countries involved are not obliged to apply the resolution.

Israel’s UN representative Gilad Erdan called the resolution a “disgrace.” On “Israel intends to eliminate Hamas, just as the world dealt with the Nazis and the Islamic State,” he commented.
