Maria Dercimar Gonçalves Senra, better known as Decimar Gonçalves, died this Sunday (5) at the age of 88. She was the only daughter of the comedian and actress Dercy Gonçalves (19072008). Decimar’s granddaughter Melissa Senra announced the information in a private post on Instagram. The family did not provide any information about the cause of death.
“My world has become sadder and emptier, but heaven is celebrating! Today I said goodbye to one of the passions of my life. She was an extraordinary grandmother,” wrote Melissa, who posted a photo of Decimar.
“She was half father, half mother, my hottie (as I called her), my friend, companion, partner, always by my side, playing on my team and supporting me a lot. She was synonymous with joy, love, kindness, generosity, friendship and much more! I love you forever, little voice,” he added.
Decimar was the daughter of Dercy Gonçalves and coffee exporter Ademar Martins, whom she dated for two years. At the time the comedian had a relationship with the boy, he was married, but the man secretly registered his daughter after she was born.
The name Dercimar is a mixture of Dolores’ nickname Dercy and her father’s name, Ademar. The coffee exporter provided the actress with a house in which to raise her daughter, made some visits and additionally contributed to the costs, but they could not live together because the romance was extramarital. Dercy then created herself the sole heir.
In an interview with Conversa com Bial in 2018, Decimar revealed that his mother had for a long time banned swearing in the house, even though she was known for her bad sense of humor and was known for her foul mouth. “She said it, but she didn’t like us saying it. She held to one standard: She could do anything and we couldn’t,” he joked.
“Despite the mischief, Mom was very straightforward and had incredible values. Strict, unyielding “I’m going to have a heart attack because I had a heart attack. Any fear, man… You don’t have to say everything you’re thinking, and she said everything she was thinking,” he laughed.
Heir to Dercy Gonçalves
It is estimated that Dercy’s net worth is R$24.5 million. She made a fortune from Globo after suing the broadcaster over his dismissal. At the time, she was earning around 80,000 cruises per month (one of the company’s highest salaries, as the minimum wage was 156 cruises), but was upset about the censorship of her speech.
Her disrespectful manner damaged important brands that advertised on Globo, such as CocaCola and the defunct Banco Nacional de Habitação (BNH). In an action with actors, Dercy even said that he “drank Coke, but it was very bad.” The acronym for BNH Bank was confused by the comedian with BCG, the tuberculosis vaccine.
